Fruits and seeds collection

Col·lecció de fruits i llavors
This collection contains roughly 2,000 samples of seeds, which usually have an associated reference specimen in the Cormophyta collection. The samples mostly come from plant communities in the mountains and highlands of Catalonia. 
 
The properly dried seeds are stored in plastic envelopes with the respective label and then put in order by family. A large number of the samples have been characterized morphologically and functionally and detailed images have been taken.
 
This collection has been computerized in its entirety and you can consult the information in the database webpage and in the virtual herbarium.
