User training

User training courses are designed to provide information about the CRAI, its libraries and its services and information resources, which are available to the university community. External users pay a fee for this service.

 Training sessions for all users

UB teaching staff, students, and administrative and service staff can:

 Enrol in face-to-face courses.

 Consult the self-learning material available at: CRAI Virtual Training Campus.

Remember that you must first log in with your UB intranet username and password.


If you are enrolled at or work at a UB-affiliated centre and would like to take a CRAI training course and you don't have UB credentials send your request to pab-sd(at), with the following details: your name and surname, your centre, and the name of the courses you are interested in.

 Training sessions for teaching and research staff (PDI)

A wide range of sessions for teaching and research staff are organized by the CRAI, in collaboration with the Institute of Education Sciences (ICE). These include training on demand and accreditation of training activities. Additional information is available on the ICE website.


 Self-Access Language Learning Centre (CAL)

The University makes available the Self-access language learning centres, one of them is integrated at Economics and Business CRAI Library - Bachelor's degree and offers resources in English, Catalan, French, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese and Chinese.


 Practical classes using documents from the Rare Book and Manuscript CRAI Library
The Rare Book and Manuscript CRAI Library has a manuscript reading room, owhere classes can be taught using library documents. Teaching staff must request the room at least 15 days in advance and specify the date, time and number of students. The teaching staff will select the documents, with the support of Library staff when necessary. At the start of the class, a librarian from the CRAI Rare Book and Manuscript Library will give a short presentation of the collection and the operation of the Library.
To request a class using material from the Rare Book and Manuscript CRAI Library you must complete this form. The Library will then contact you to confirm the session.
