IV. Last stages. Arrival and repercussions
Each new port stood for the confirmation of their learning, or the finding of a complex and unexpected universe. They came into contact with other cultures and languages and discovered surprising things.

The lectures -on Literature, History, and also Medicine or Anthropology- were given to prepare the arrival at the ports. Dr. De las Barras y de Aragón kept a diary where he promptly recorded all on-board activities as well as activities in the visited countries.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona announced an interesting and attractive trip: "the best summer holidays".

In the summer of 1933, the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Madrid organized the first university cruise around the Mediterranean.
